A STATEMENT: WE'RE UNLEARNING

Femme First Foundation is dedicated to advance women’s leadership in Indian politics. Our flagship programs under the banner of ‘She Runs Government’ (Dialogues, Awards, and Fellowship) have been furthering this goal since 2019. However, upon reflection, it has dawned on us that using the pronoun ‘She’ in these programs may seem exclusionary of the women who don’t use the said pronoun. Henceforth, our programs will be known as ‘Women in Government’ – Dialogues, Awards, and Fellowship.

In the gender discourse, we are unlearning and learning every single day. We hope this change is one step in the right direction. We want to assure all the women who identify with any pronoun that we see them. Femme First Foundation is committed to doing better.
